ABOUT ME

I have been a television and film make up artist for just over 30 years. My work history has covered all genres in the industry from fashion and beauty, pop promos, commercials to blood thirsty horror films, 18th Century period dramas to D Day beach assaults.

​My celebrity client list includes Emily Mortimer, Justin Bieber, Kings of Leon, Richard Dreyfuss, Mark Ronson, Isla Fisher and the late great Sir John Hurt to name but a few.

I have worked in the most challenging and harsh conditions around the globe and have encountered just about every make up challenge possible. 

recently contributed to the 2019 Edition of Richard Corson and James Glavans’ book called Stage Makeup (The makeup bible). James Glavan approached me to write a piece on how to construct and apply extremely large prosthetic ears for the stage after seeing my work from a recent production of A Midsummer Nights Dream for Glyndebourne opera house in East Sussex. 

 

 I am a qualified higher education freelance tutor and have been running hair and make up workshops for beginners, children and experienced makeup artists alike for over ten years.

 

I regularly work for Screen south in conjunction with the BFI Academy where I mentor students and newly qualified makeup artists and films students in skills required in film and television.  

 

  I really do have a great sense of humour. I am calm, kind and approachable. I really enjoy the teaching side to my life and thrive in any teaching environment.
